Colors at last!

I'm so proud of myself I was finally able to color these artworks after seven years since I drew them. I will forever be a W.I.T.C.H. fan. :D

I used to draw when I was younger...

...and one of my favorite subjects are the W.I.T.C.H. mag characters. Sino ba sa inyo nagko-collect niyan dati? Apir! :D I have more or less 40 issues back home. Yeah. I started collecting the mag when I was in Garde Six (2004) up to the very last ish in August 2008 (naalala ko pa talaga yung month. Shoot me if I'm wrong. :P)

I made these drawings seven years ago. Medyo brittle na nga yung papel, eh, nung linabas ko sila sa file case ko. Ang tanda na rin ng mga to. Haha Enjoy!

Hay Lin. She's my most favorite character! Gusto ko kasi sa mga intsik and we share a lot of similarities.

I told you, marami akong W.I.T.C.H. mag sa bahay. Gusto ko nga sana tong i-donate sa local library sa Llorente kaso sabi ng kaibigan ko huwag daw, ipamana ko nalang daw sa future daughter ko. Madali naman akong kausap kaya itatago ko muna to for the mean time. :)

While reading my notes at home, nag-text si Papa...

Papa: Ate, ipa-book niyo daw kami (ng flight papuntang Manila) sabi ni Papa.

Naisip ko: ah baka si Edlet to (bunso namin, 11 years old). Pupunta kasi dito sina Papa next week.

Me: Okay. Anong araw?
Papa: Anong 'anong araw?' 
Me: Sabi ni Edlet ipapa-book ko daw sila.
Papa: Ha? Wag kang maniwala dyan. Si Bebe (Edlet) nag-text sayo kanina. Kinuha niya phone ko. Wag mo sila i-book. 
Me: Kaya pala, eh. Okay. Hehe

Adik na kapatid ko yun, muntikan ko na sila ipa-book. Na-victim ako dun, ah!

A Tilapia Story

Pauwi. Gutom na 'ko. 7AM-7PM pasok ko ngayon sa school. Pagod, gusto ko nalang makauwi at matulog. Bago umakyat sa fourth floor unit namin, dumaan ako sa carinderia malapit sa court. Nasa bungad palang ako ng tindahan, nakita ako ng tindera....

Tindera: Ay walang tilapia ngayon, Ate (with matching smile pa).
Me: Ganun ba? Okay, sige.

Hanggang pinto lang talaga ako. Haha Two steps away palang ako mula sa carinderia, bumalik nanaman ako dun (baka kasi may ibang masarap na ulam).

Nagtaka si Ate'ng Tindera. Tiningnan niya ko habang naglalakad papalapit sa mga ulam. Wala akong nakitang masarap.

Me: Ito lang ulam niyo ngayon?
Tindera: Yan lang, eh. Wala na kasi kaming tilapia, Te. Naubos na.
Me: Aba, Ate, alam mo na gusto ko ah (smiling).
Tindera: Kilala na kita. Palagi mo kasing binibili yun.
Me: Haha Ikaw, Ate, may pagka-stalker ka ha. :P

Nag-smile lang siya sakin.

At umuwi ako na bigo at walang tilapia for dinner. :(

I realized na napaka-predictable ko pala talagang tao. Or baka kasi part na ng routine ko na kumain ng isda pag gabi at nahalata ni Ate'ng palaging tilapia binibili ko? Kumakain din ako ng bangus no!

Death Anniversary

Yesterday, August 6, was Sheena's fourth death anniversary. Time really flies. Parang kahapon lang nung nangyari yung accident.

I miss Sheena so much. I don't know if I already mentioned this, but back in second year high school, we used to talk and imagine our future. She would go to UST (her dream school) and take up nursing and I'd go to UP to take up a business- or media-related course. We promised ourselves na lilibutin namin lahat ng sulok ng Maynila when we go to college as we were 100% bound to study in the city. Probinsyanas as we were, we dreamed of shopping in every major mall there is and watch movies in theaters. Korni namin dati no?

Sheena had big dreams. She said she'd build up a hospital once she get loads of money. Then we'd be partners in my restaurant business. Tapos pag mayaman na mayaman na kami, bibili kami ng car and magro-roadtrip kahit saan. I remember Mano Boms, our tricycle driver, weird-ed by our ridiculous ideas, said we were crazy. We would just laugh about it and continue talking about our future.

But future took Sheena's life in a matter of seconds. How can a person so good and loving die so fast? How come all corrupt official in the government still lives while the good ones die? Life is truly unfair.

Ever since Sheena has gone, I would go to her tomb whenever I'm around Llorente. To tell you the truth, I visit her more often than any of my relatives. 

Sheena, wherever you are now, I pray for your peace. I pray for justice to come forth to your soul. 

To my readers who knows her, let as pray for her. Eternal rest grant to the soul of Sheena, oh, Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

The Epic Month of July 2011

King David, my ever so loyal Potterhead friend

I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 with my good old friend/ soulmate, King David last July 14 at the IMAX Theater in SM North EDSA. Like I said in my Facebook, it probably was the best movie I'll ever see in this lifetime. No other movie or franchise can top it. Nothing. And it was extra special because I got to see it with another Potterhead. :)

July 23. Me, Onyok, Peda and Uncle Ricar saw Kobe, D. Rose, CP3 and six other NBA players shoot and dunk hoops live. We were lucky we bought tickets a week before the event (it was soldout after three days of ticket sales). It was a surreal experience. I never thought it was possible. Thank you to Manny Pangalinan (I think I spelled the surname wrong) for bringing them to the Philippines. I wish they do this again next year.

July 29. I finally heard Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars sing live! If voices could kill, I would have happily died in his music. God, he's the sexiest man on earth! Though we (me and Fae) were only standing behind the Gold entrance barricades, we totally enjoyed the whole concert. Muntik na nga kong mapaos sa kakakanta, eh. Waiting and standing for four long hours outside Trinoma was worth it. And I promise to buy VIP tickets should they come here once more.

And to cap it all up, me and may Red Cross Youth family held a blood letting activity in SM Novaliches last Sunday (July 31). Though I wasn't able to donate blood (I'm underweight by 2 lbs), I enjoyed the whole thing. It was exhausting but still. 

July is the grandest! Now August has a problem topping that. Haha

Six more days to go before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 hits the big screen! You guys, especially those who've stuck with Harry from the start should watch it on the premier day. I have my tickets already. Let's finish this magical adventure as one! :)
